Home healthcare is becoming an increasingly popular way for people around the world to receive medical care. A paper published in The New England Journal of Medicine points out that five major forces are driving health care into the home: the aging of the U.S. population, epidemics of chronic diseases, technological advance, health care consumerism, and rapidly escalating health care costs.
